Petroglyph Canyon Tour
If you are looking for a bit of a challenge and want to be far from other people, then this incredible tour is your best choice – a mix of ancient history and thrilling hiking & climbing. We will start hiking at the bottom of a beautiful river, climbing over rocks until we get to multiple indigenous Taíno rock carvings – so called Petroglyphs – which survived 600-1000 years for you to see it up-close.
After a short stop and some information about these amazing people who inhabited Puerto Rico, we will start our ascend of the river canyon along stunning rock formations and waterfalls, with a truly epic view of the valley beneath us. Further up, we will get our reward with some relax time in various pools right above the waterfalls, before we make our way back down.
You must be PHYSICALLY FIT to hike and climb difficult terrain! As much as we would like to take everybody to this location, for your personal safety, this tour is not recommended for people who are above average weight or not physically fit as this hike is quite exhausting!
We offer different paths from easy to more adventurous and we can make the tour work for visitors of any age. If you love nature, this is a must-do in Puerto Rico. It is also one of the highest rated activities on the island with over 500 5-star reviews!
