Frequently Asked Questions

Since all our tours are off the beaten path in nature, safety is our #1 priority. For our rain forest tour we will cancel if the river is flodded to a point where we can not guarantee the safety of our guests. For that reason it is very important not to book our tours on the last day of your trip, but rather for the first days, so you get another chance to reschedule, since tropical weather is very unpredictable. If we have to cancel for weather or safety issues, we offer full refunds if you can’t reschedule.

Welcome to our #1 tour: The famous Water Slide Tour! Do you want to experience the El Yunque Rain Forest while you are in Puerto Rico but don’t want to share trails and waterfalls with hundreds of other tourists, just to realize the crowds make it impossible to fully enjoy nature?

Let us take you to a hidden natural water park off the beaten path and far from the crowds to swing through the rain forest on ropes and shoot down a huge natural water slide into the clear pools of the river. If you like a rush, we will take you to 3 cliff jumps up to 32ft high. Beside all the fun and excitement, our tour also invites you to relax and simply enjoy the peace of nature at this very unique location. This is one of our local gems only a few lucky tourists get to see each year.

We offer different paths from easy to more adventurous and we can make the tour work for visitors of any age. If you love nature this is a must-do in Puerto Rico – especially for families with kids!

We are known to take our visitors off the beaten path, but on this tour so much actually, that a big part of the hike we have to float and swim through caves and rock formations in a calm river! Join this tour for a trip like no other into pure nature.

The day starts with picking you up in the morning and an hour later, you and your family and friends will be hiking through forests and swimming in fresh river water through cave formations in the mountains of Puerto Rico. This is a location tourists rarely get to visit, as a matter of fact, most locals don’t know of its existence.

We don’t want to spoil too much about this experience, but you will get wet and you will be amazed by the beautiful rock and cave formations the river cut into the lime stone that covers a large area in the North of Puerto Rico.

If you like to explore off the beaten path and see locations where not many people are around, then this incredible tour is your best choice – a mix of ancient history and thrilling hiking & climbing.

We will start hiking at the bottom of a beautiful river, climbing over rocks until we get to multiple indigenous Taíno rock carvings – so called Petroglyphs – which survived 600-1000 years for you to see it up-close. After a short stop and some information about these amazing people who inhabited Puerto Rico, we will start our ascend of the river canyon along stunning rock formations and waterfalls, with a truly epic view of the valley beneath us. Further up, we will get our reward with some relax time in a pool right above the waterfalls, before we make our way back down to have fun on a rope swing.

Snorkel Tour

Snorkeling is a must-do experience for everyone who is not afraid of water and even for beginners and non-swimmer (with life vests).

We start our snorkel tour with a quick training at the beach of how to use the equipment and the safety rules, before we start a short hike to a reef off the beaten path. We will have a chance to watch peaceful moray eels, turtles, stingrays, octopus, blowfishes among many other fish types. Every visit at the reef is completely different and there is always something interesting to see if you know where to look.

As on all our tours, we will make sure to take pictures of you even underwater, so you have memories to take home.

Stand Up Paddle Board Tour

Enjoy a relaxing morning or afternoon cruising over beautiful reefs and get a chance to see Turtles, Stingrays and Manatees. We will take you to a deserted beach in a natural reserve, where you can take a walk, bath in the sun or collect small and large seashells, while enjoying the breathtaking view to El Yunque Rain Forest.

The Paddle Boards we use are great for you to learn how to “SUP” for the first time, as they are large and give you good stability.

Some of our Reviews

This was our first time in Puerto Rico & the 2 morning we spent with Chris were the highlight of our trip. I was with my three children ages 12, 14, & 16 and we all had an absolute blast! We spent our first morning learning how to SUP for the first time. Chris was so patient and let everyone go at their own pace. He took us to a remote beach where we were able to find some beautiful conch shells to bring home with us. The second morning we spent at the rainforest relaxing in the natural pools, cliff diving, and going down natural water slides. I loved that Chris took safety very seriously and gave everyone the perfect amount of attention. This was so gorgeous and something I’ve never experienced before. We were the only people there so I loved the privacy. I don’t think we would have been able to enjoy Puerto Rico without these tours. Chris was the best! I highly recommend taking both tours and if we return to Puerto Rico Chris is on the top of my list to schedule our adventures.

Meeting Chris was the best part of our vacation! We’ve been home several days now and we still can’t stop talking about it! Chris has a passion for what he does and it comes out in his tours! Puerto Rico is beautiful and with Chris you see parts PR that you would never see otherwise! We are already planning a trip back!

We really lucked out finding the website for Paradise Tours while we were in Puerto Rico. We booked the River Water Park Tour and it was amazing! Chris took our family of 4 (with 2 teenage kids) up the adventurous hike to 2 swimming holes. There is so much to do there! We were able to slide down the waterfall, do the rope swing, and jump off one of the high rocks. We would never have done all of these things if we didn’t have Chris as our guide. He was very safety-conscious and so knowledgeable about the location and the island of Puerto Rico. Chris also has a Go Pro and took pictures and videos for us so we didn’t have to worry about taking our phones. I would definitely recommend going up to the falls with Chris as your guide.

We were very lucky to meet Chris during our stay in Puerto Rico. Chris took us to a hidden gem in the rain forest that we had no idea ever existed. He has a lot of passion for nature and is great with kids (yes we took our 2 year old daughter and she enjoyed it as much as we did) he can make any tour work no matter what your needs are. My wife and daughter are not swimmers and they loved this place, there are plenty of shallow spots. The best time to go is during the morning, we literally had this little piece of heaven to ourselves all morning. I wished our stay in Puerto Rico was longer. Chris is a great guide; we will definitely be in touch next time we are on the island.
